- THE BATTLE OF CEFALONIA, September 22, 1943 - After the Italian
- collapse of September 8th, the men of the Italian division "Acqui",
- stationed in the isle of Cefalonia, refused to give up their weapons.
- The Germans landed on the peninsula of Argosoli, in order to take the
- harbour and destroy their ex-allies. The Italians had nowhere to go
- and few anti-aircraft weapons. They fought to the last man against the
- Germans, under the pounding of the Stukas. The German landing forces
- captured Argosoli and the peninsula of Lixuri, killing 6000
- Italians. This Scenario represents the landing of the German forces
- at Argosoli and the Acqui's desperate attempt to repell them.
